Presbyopia
Presbyopia is the loss of focus that occurs in the forties. This is what causes the need for reading glasses or bifocals.
This develops because the lens inside the eye becomes hardened and loses flexibility.
This problem cannot be directly corrected with the laser, but an option called Monovision can be
used to help the distance and near vision in patients over 40.
