Farsightedness
Hyperopia
An optical error of the eye that blurs the near vision, and may also blur the distance vision.
Caused by the eye being too short or the cornea being too flat. Light coming into the eye is
improperly focused behind the retina, instead of directly on the retina for clear vision.
Glasses or contact lenses that can properly focus light up to the retina correct this optical error.
This can also be corrected by re-shaping the cornea with Laser Eye Surgery.
